October was a defining month for WBTC. From expanding native integrations to deepening its footprint across leading ecosystems, WBTC continues to empower Bitcoin holders with new ways to earn, stake, and participate in DeFi.

Native WBTC on Tron: Supported by HTX
Native WBTC has officially launched on Tron, marking a significant step toward a more connected Bitcoin economy. This integration opens new liquidity channels and gives Tron users access to decentralized finance opportunities built around Bitcoin.
Native WBTC deposits and withdrawals for TRON are also live on HTX, signaling a new era of accessibility and efficiency for users across chains.
Meanwhile, Native WBTC deposits and withdrawals are supported on HTX, Guarda Wallet and Token Pocket, further enhancing accessibility for users who want to manage, trade, or store their WBTC across platforms or chains.
WBTC is now live on Starknet, enabling users to mint and redeem WBTC directly on the network without routing through Ethereum. This lowers transaction costs and simplifies on-chain Bitcoin movement for both retail users and institutions.
On Starknet, WBTC can now be:
Staked to help secure the network
Used as collateral in lending markets
Deployed into BTC yield strategies
WBTC is also available on Starknet Earn, where users could deploy their WBTC with a single click. Demand was immediate, the WBTC cap filled in under 12 hours, making it the first asset to reach its staking limit on the platform.
Together, these integrations make Starknet one of the strongest hubs in the BTCFi ecosystem, where Bitcoin capital can move permissionlessly and earn across DeFi.
WBTC continues to reinforce its commitment to security, innovation, and utility. The Renzo Vault allows users to deposit WBTC into the vault, which is then restaked to EigenLayer. In return, users receive ezBTC, representing their share of the vault’s restaked assets. Renzo’s WBTC/ezBTC vault currently holds $4.7 million in TVL, showing growing demand for Bitcoin-based restaking strategies.
WBTC team members were present at TOKEN2049 Singapore, one of the largest global gatherings for blockchain innovation.

Building on the Canary Framework
The Canary initiatives continue to strengthen WBTC’s foundation as the most trusted form of Bitcoin in DeFi. These updates focus on enhancing security standards while expanding yield opportunities across supported ecosystems, reinforcing WBTC’s role as the benchmark for tokenized Bitcoin utility.
From Starknet to Renzo, and to Tron, WBTC continues to expand its reach as the leading representation of Bitcoin in DeFi. October marked another milestone in building a more connected, scalable, and secure Bitcoin economy.
